Author’s Notes:

Since I’m giddy and excited and things like that… Thanks tofliuor ’s reply to my message which really made me happy… Let’s just say mixed emotions or whatever? I decided to write another OhMiya fic. Haha~ Actually, this story is on the spot. I mean this story is what I wrote in Art Theory and Criticisms class last Friday. Last meeting (Wednesday), we were asked to draw a man in the dark and then last Friday, we were asked to write a short story about it. I was writing it with OhMiya on my mind so I came here to share it to you guys. Though it wouldn’t be the same as what I wrote since the paper is still with my professor so I’ll just recreate it here. In the paper, I entitle it “Catharsis” but I rather not title it the same here since I’ll be releasing a novel entitled like that. Unfortunately, it won’t be collaboration with fliuor but I’m really happy with her rejection… hahahaha~ I mean her reason of the rejection was really touching. She did something I can’t do to my own self… I’m really happy~ 

By the way, this is just a short one shot. I even though it less that 1000 words, I won’t consider this as a drabble since like I said in Niji, I believe drabbles are only meant with 100 words. Let’s just say this is a short one shot. :D

P.S. It's an open POV so you could imagine it as Nino's POV or Ohno's POV...

Pitch black.... whether I open my eyes or I firmly shut them together, that was the only thing my eyes could reach...


Coldness… emptiness… words aren’t enough to describe how I feel. I reach out my hand but nothing comes within my grasps. I open my mouth but no sound has come out. I’m afraid… I’m scared…

I took my steps, slowly and carefully. You might not know what will come out of the dark right? It’s good to be cautious sometimes. I might suddenly fall from nothingness, or darkness finally has decided to consume me. I’m scared… scared that I can’t no longer move my muscle. I’m scared to move forward not knowing what will happen next. I’m afraid to see what I’m about to face next.

“You’re useless!”

“You don’t deserve anything, not even your life!”

“You are nothing compared to us!”

I hear voices… No… No… It can’t be… Those voices… please stop~ Please!

My body started to tremble and wobble down to my knees. I hugged myself as I let tears trail my face.  I shut my close, firmly.

It wasn’t true… I –

And then even with my close eyes, I can see radiance, hauling me to open my eyes. Slowly, I flutter my eyes open and a
faint light welcomed me. It’s so small yet so bright… so indistinct yet warm especially in my heart. I pushed my hand forward, trying to reach it. Even so it seems so far, it feels I can touch it as it brilliance illuminates me. Even with that tiny light, I feel alive again. Tears are evident in the corner of my eyes yet it is different from before.  Slowly, it fades yet it isn’t alarming.

I am a man in the dark but this time, no fear invades my heart. Just pure bliss for I know with me the light continues to
shine. I can keep walking in this darkness for I know in my heart, that faint light will guide me.

He opened his eyes as reality woke him up. A bright smile welcomed his eyes and a smile curved his face.

“Ohayou~” he whispered.

“Ohayou~” the other said softly.

Silence soon followed yet it was comforting. He heaved the other closer securing him in his arms and kissed his forehead. He was glad he met someone like him.

Just like the faint light that enlightened the man in the dark, he gave the man a reason worth of living.

Oh, it's an open POV. It could be Nino's or Ohno's POV... and then at the last part it's already 3rd person. It say how the man in the dark found his enlightment... hehe, sorry if I confused you. But if you're really confused, I actually imagine it as Ohno's POV and Nino was his light when I wrote it... haha~ Really, gomen for confusing you...

I don't think it's failed, because it's nice and understandably and really sweet :D
Though I feel like thinking the 1st pov was Nino's, but the 2nd made me thinking it's Ohno's, at the mention he heaved the other closer and securing him in his arms.. I imagine Ohno hugging Nino.. so sweet..

Well, it really depends on how you see who's the top in OhMiya if you know what I mean.. but yeah, I did wrote it in Ohno's view but re-reading again before posting it can be Nino's too... haha~
