TRUST MY HEART


Kangin speeds up his car. The sun is peeking already, ready to greet the people but still there are just few cars travelling. He gets his phone and dialed their house number.

KRIIIIIIIING!

“Come one… Pick it the phone… Hon. Damn it!” He cursed to himself. He knew Leeteuk is still sleeping and quite a heavy sleeper too.

“Aish! Please be alright…” Kangin could only mutter, still speeding up.

LEETEUK’S POV

Yawn! Ah, what a great morning? Hmm, let’s see. Today I have lots of appointments so I need to move now. I look at my side to wake Kangin up. Huh? Where’s Kangin?

“Youngwoon-ah!” I shouted. I’m sure he doesn’t have an earlier schedule than mine. I’m always the first one to get up. What time is it anyways?

“ARGHH!” It’s already quarter to eight. I have appointments by eight. Andwae! Aish! I overslept again. I hurriedly went to the bathroom and took a bath. I stumble a bit getting my things.

Polo shirt! Polo shirt! Argh! Pants! I need pants! Shoes, where’s the shoes? Where did Youngwoon even go at the first place? He should have waked me up. Ah, what else. Phone? Yeah! Wah! My phone!

Thug! Tsuuk! Crash!

Ouch, I slipped. Watta? I glance up and saw the vase in our table beside the sofa broken. Huh? I stand up once again to check what broke it.

Thug!

Tsuuk! Bang! Crash! Tsuuk! Bang! Crash! Bang! Bang!

I crashed down, protected by someone above me. I open my eyes and saw Kangin.

“What the heck is happening?” That’s all I can say. I’m confused. Are we being ambushed?

“Just trust me… Let’s go…” He said as he pecked my forehead. Currently, we are covered by the sofa in our sala. I’m afraid. Still ducking, we tried to hide. The gunshots stopped a bit but then continued.

What’s going on? What did we do to be ambush like this? I don’t know anymore. Please, let us be in peace. I just want a peaceful life. We hide by the counter in the kitchen after we manage to get out of that mess in the living room. My home, our home… it’s all in mess. I glance by Kangin and then…

“What is that Youngwoon ah?” I asked. Are my eyes deceiving me? Am I really seeing him holding a gun?

“Just trust Hon, I promise you… everything will be over soon…” He said reassured me as he held my hand. I can’t speak and just give him a nod.

“Just follow me and don’t let go of my hand...” He instructed me. We went past the counter, heading to the door that leads to the backyard and then he slowly open it and peeked.

“Let’s go…” He hissed but then he pushed me back when I heard gunshots again. When will all of these stop?

NORMALPOV

Leeteuk covered his ears. He couldn’t take it anymore the thunder shouts of gunshots. Kangin on the other hand exchanges bullets. He was able to eliminate some but they are just too many.

“Shit!” He cursed when he knew he was out of bullets. Now, how are they gonna escape this?

The door suddenly opened, revealing…

“H-Hyukjae?” Kangin gasped when he saw Eunhyuk. Leeteuk looked up and asked in surprise.

“Uyu?” He was surprise to see him, especially holding a gun. His hand stained with blood and Kangin even called him Hyukjae. He was unsure if he knows the guy standing in front of them.

“Are you both okay?” Eunhyuk asked. His chest was moving up and down, catching his breath once in a while.

“Yeah… we’re just fine.” Kangin answered, bit sarcasm in his tone. Eunhyuk just understands. He knows he can’t get yet the trust he wanted from Kangin. He just heaved a sigh or relieved that both were okay.

He then look at Leeteuk, he knows those eyes he is showing. He knew Leeteuk is confuse and afraid. He just let go of his gun and rushed to hug Leeteuk.

“Everything is gonna be alright… Trust us hyung… especially Kangin hyung.” Eunhyuk smiled at Leeteuk as he let go of him. He was showing his gummy smile to reassure the worrying hyung.

“When everything is over… you’ll teach me more… ne, hyung?” Eunhyuk asked in happy and usual tone.

“Teach me too how to TOP Donghae… I want to try too… somehow… Does that feel good too?” Eunhyuk said showing his curiosity, somehow it made Leeteuk smiling, calming himself from all of there. Kangin watch what Uyu or Hyukjae as he preferred. He knew he maybe a Corvus but some things would never change even Eunhyuk is a Corvus. He know deep inside, he is still Lee Hyukjae or Uyu he met during those training years through stories and reports and now who he met as Uyu. A person he could trust.

“Hyukkie… Hyung! Let’s go!” Someone shouted outside.

“D-Donghae?” Leeteuk asked unbelievably.

“What the heck is he doing here?” Kangin snarled to Eunhyuk.

Eunhyuk quickly apologize, “Sorry, he wouldn’t listen to Kibum or even to me…” Eunhyuk confessed pouting.

“Aish, let’s go!” Kangin just hissed. He held Leeteuk’s hand and softly dragged him out and they were followed by Eunhyuk. Kangin was surprise when he saw everyone like down and unconscious. Leeteuk’s eyes also widened.

“Did you all do this?” Kangin eyed Eunhyuk and same goes for Leeteuk.

“Yeah, when they are busy firing on you.. I knocked them out one by one…” He smiled proudly of himself, and then continued, “Though I didn’t kill them… just knocked them unconscious. They’ll wake up soon.” Eunhyuk reported with a gummy smile and a victory sign. Kangin rolled his eyes. Eunhyuk surely is innocent after all.

“Let’s go… that soon might be really soon.” Kangin said as they continue to walk to the car where Donghae is driving. They didn’t notice that one man is already gaining consciousness. He saw the three heading for the car. With his remaining strength, he reached for his gun and then pulled the trigger.

BANG!

Kangin look to his back where Leeteuk was. He was Leeteuk’s shock face, staring to something. He then looked where Leeteuk’s eyes were concentrated. There he saw Eunhyuk who knocked the guy. But when he face them, the left side of his tummy was bleeding but once again, he isn’t showing any pain.

“Are you okay, hyung?” Eunhyuk smiled. Leeteuk could just nod. For him, it was impossible. When he heard the gun shot, he was so sure that it will land into him but then he felt a gusting wind. One second, Eunhyuk was just behind and when he looked at the one who nearly shot him, Eunhyuk already knocked down the guy. And now, Eunhyuk is even bleeding but no sign of pain can be seen. What had just had happened?

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

“Let’s go!” Donghae said making sure he is composed. Truthfully, seeing Eunhyuk in action still scares him and now his lover is shot again. And it’s even more critical since it’s beside his stomach. He remembers again the pain Eunhyuk went through just to save him before and now he is doing it again, saving those who are important to him too.

Donghae was beside Eunhyuk as Kibum treated the wound earlier. Of course, by that time Eunhyuk was again fast asleep.

“No wonder hyung madly fell in love with Uyunnie, he does have a milky white skin.” Kibum smiled as he put the bandage to Eunhyuk’s wound and that made him earn a glare from Donghae.

“I’m just kidding… Just to relax you, hyung. Don’t worry. He’ll be fine. You know Corvus right, hyung?” Kibum chuckled, putting back the things he used for the treatment when everything is done.

“Are they really dead people?” Donghae curiously asked, he still can’t believe it sometimes. Kibum get a chair and sat beside Donghae.

“Yes, hyung… they are dead and was experimented to have reaction with your bloodline.” Kibum said, putting a hand on his shoulder. Donghae buried his face on his palms. “Well, not all are successfully becoming Corvus. The more painful their death is, the more chance of being a Corvus.” Kibum continued to explain.

“Why, is your feeling changing towards our Uyunnie?” Kibum eyed, raising his eyebrow up and down.

“Hell no...” Donghae quickly snapped out of it.

“Well, if you are… just tell me so I can have Eunhyuk to myself. I don’t mind dating a dead person.” Kibum teased.

“Yah, Kim Kibum!” Donghae bashed Kibum.

“I’m just kidding. You can have him to yourself. Bye, I’ll leave you both alone.” Kibum pats Donghae’s shoulder then left.

Outside the room, there is Kangin standing, his back leaning on the wall and silently watching Leeteuk who is silently drinking a hot coffee over the kitchen.

“Hi Hyung.” Kibum greeted.

“Yah, didn’t I tell you to guard those two, especially Donghae?” Kangin hissed, ready to bash Kibum’s head.

“I’m sorry, they just slip through me. They’re quite fast you know.” Kibum said explaining his self. Kangin then heaved a sigh, he wasn’t in the mood to argue anymore.

“And what’s that Siwon doing?!” Kangin asked since if Kibum was too slow to watch over the two, then maybe Siwon can handle it.

“Hmmm.... he wasn’t here. You know, he went to his daily routine.” Kibum explained then added to ask, “So, what’s the deal with your lover, hyung?” Kibum asked.

“Huh? Ah, honestly…” Kangin then breathed in before continuing, “… I don’t know.”

“Have you talked to him everything?” Kibum asked.

“No. I haven’t got the courage yet.” Kangin said shaking his head.

“I told you, don’t grew attach with him especially he’s a part of our mission… or else you’ll suffer.” Kibum said.

“I know… I couldn’t… I do really love him.” Kangin said.

“Yeah and you two even started to live together. Anyways, you should really talk to him. If he loves you, he will trust you no matter what.” Kibum coax him and leave to discuss somewhere with Siwon. Kangin gathered all his courage and approach him. He sat beside him.

“Teukkie-ah?!” Kangin called. Leeteuk slowly look at him, a tear was trailing down from his eyes.

“Youngwoon-ah, what’s going on?!” Leeteuk manage to ask. Kangin brought Leeteuk into his arms and then rub soothing circles on his back.

“Sssh… everything will be fine… Let’s go…” Kangin said and brought the sobbing Leeteuk to the sea shore.

“Jungsoo ah, I’ll tell you everything. No more pretences and secrets. Always remember that I love you.” Kangin said hugging Leeteuk and kissed his forehead.

They have been staying in the sand. Leeteuk was all in ears as he listens to Kangin in explanation of everything. He learned about Eunhyuk’s past, his involvement to Donghae, the Corvus and about everything.

“What about us Youngwoon-ah? Is everything between us is true at all?” Leeteuk said not looking at Kangin but to the horizons of the sea. Kangin looked at Leeteuk, surprise he asked that but at the same time with guilt.

“Those 3 words you’d always say, are they even true? Are they even from you…?” Leeteuk paused then continued, “… or just your way on getting close to me so you could fulfil your mission?” Leeteuk asked. Sarcasm is starting to build up in his words. Kangin felt hurt, he felt those words piercing his heart. He looks at the horizon same as Leeteuk, trying to hide the tears that threatens to flow down. He already expected that this day would come, that those words would come out from him. He just hopes they’ll be able to overcome this.

“Honestly, I don’t know if I trust you anymore.” Leeteuk started after the silence that Kangin give as an answer. Once again, he found his eyes looking at Leeteuk with guilt and sadness. He hoped this wouldn’t change anything. He love Leeteuk dearly and he don’t want to lose him but if Leeteuk decided to let go of everything, everything they been through, then he’ll respect him because he trust him of making the right decision between them.

“Teukkie-ah.. listen…” Kangin said in hoarse voice, breaking his own silence. Leeteuk looked up to him, pressing his fingers to Kangin’s lip, hushing the latter.

“No, you listen Youngwoon… I’m confused about everything. Everything around us is not normal. Yes, I’m afraid. I’m afraid for Donghae, for Eunhyuk, for everyone… especially you… But I don’t think…” Leeteuk aids breathing in first. Kangin’s heart is hurting. He knew everything will end soon. He close his eyes, ready to hear those painful words but then he felt different once Leeteuk cupped his cheeks, closing the gap between them. His eyes greeting him.

He showed his smile, his dimple showing, “Bet I don’t think I need to be afraid anymore…” He paused and pecked on those trembling lips and then continued, “Because I have you. I trust you with all my heart because I love , Youngwoon ah.”

Kangin lock Leeteuk at his arms, never so happy before. He is happy for to have a lover like him. He’s perfect...

“How’s our Eunhyuk doing?” An age man asked.

“He is fine. He is responding to the experiment with accuracy.” A woman said.

“Good, I need him to be ready when the time comes.” The man replied. He was walking around the bed where a man with lots of machine connected to it, breathing soundly.

“What do you plan on doing to him, Lee Sooman-nim?” The woman asked.

“I’m reserving him for an important mission.” The man stopped, placing his hand on the lying man’s hand.

“He is the only one who can know. Now that you remove his memories, I know I can trust him now.” The man said. He then walked away. He then stopped and continued, “Keep his body frozen for awhile, and I’ll tell you when he needed to be released. Check his vital signs and reserved him for our greatest cause.” The man said and next thing was heard was a close door.

EUNHYUK’S POV

I was woken up by another dream. I know it was from my memories since if it’s just a dream... a corvus never dreams. When they sleep, everything is entirely black. That girl, is she Hyori noona that I remember? And then, Lee Sooman? Is he the guy that took me in and made me who I am now? It’s already night. Everything seems to be coming back now. I went to the balcony, connected to the room we were staying at. The moon is shining so brightly. Ah, so relaxing.

“So you’re finally awake?” Someone whispered to my ears as arms wrapped around my waist. I couldn’t care less for I know who it is.

“Yeah, how’s Leeteuk hyung? Is he out of shock already?” I asked. I have seen Leeteuk hyung’s reaction when we were heading back here. I know he’ll react like that, I reacted like that too. I just hope I didn’t entirely freak him out.

“He’s fine. I had a talked to him and he seems to be coping with our situation now.” Donghae said kissing my cheeks. I lean back my head to him, relaxing myself. Him beside me is something I always look forward.

“What you thinking? How’s your wound?” He asked me. I smiled at his concerned nature. His caring that made me fall in love with him all over again.

“I’m just fine, Hae. I don’t feel any pain at all.” I assured him and face him. Still, his arms were around him. I look at him, cupping his face and close our gap together. Ah, this addictive kiss. I am blessed. I don’t mind being a Corvus, to die for him and to live again to protect him. It’s like my existence was destined to be with him and that it I am thankful the most.

Our lips met, kissing tenderly. I felt his tongue licking my lower lip, asking access for him to explore my mouth and I did. I felt his tongue exploring every inch of my mouth, playing with my own tongue. Are we going to do it again? I’m excited.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

We abruptly stopped and let go of each other as we stared at the door. There was Leeteuk hyung, peeking at the door.

“Uhm, did I interrupt something?” He smiled at us. Donghae sighed and shook his head.

“Ani… waeyo hyung?” Donghae asked.

“Dinner’s ready.. and uhm…” He paused and then continued, “Can I talk to Hyukjae alone?”

Did he just call me Hyukjae? I guess Leeteuk hyung knows everything now. I’m afraid, he might lost his trust to me too. And he might not teach me anymore. How can I tell him when Hae and I do it? I’m still innocent right?

I look at Donghae who is looking at us back and forth between me and Leeteuk hyung. I smiled at him and he nodded.

“I’ll wait for you in the dining table.” He said and then walked pass by Leeteuk hyung and then stopped, “And don’t teach Hyukkie to be on top hyung? Not gonna happen!!!” He said before leaving us completely. Ayie? Why wouldn’t Donghae want me to try? But I still think it’s inappropriate so it’s okay. I walked in and sit at the bed. Leeteuk hyung sat beside me and then held on my hand. I looked at him with the reassurance that everything will be alright.

“Hyukjae-ah, gomawo…” He breathed out.

“Aniyo… it’s nothing hyung.” I said. I hope him thanking me is a sign he trust me.

“Not just because you saved my life... But also trusting Donghae to us…” He smiled, “You gave him to us because you trust us that we’ll take care of him and I’m glad you really did. Having a dongsaeng like him is a blessing for me…” He continued, “A pain in the ass… but sweet...”

“Hyung…” I couldn’t speak. I’m really happy. I could remember the times when I will watch Leeteuk hyung and his father before, spying on them. I really made a right choice in trusting Donghae to them.

“You may be different now… Hyukjae-ah, you may be a Corvus… but I do trust you… I trust Donghae to you as you trusted us before. I’m really thankful to meet a great guy like you, Hyukjae.” Leeteuk hyung said. There’s something wet in my eyes and I know tears are starting to pour down. Leeteuk hyung hugged me, he too is sobbing softly. I hugged him back. I never regretted anything, especially trusting Donghae to them before I died.

“Hyung…” I called as we let go. He replied, “Yeah?”

“Please call me Uyu.. I’m not use in you calling me Hyukjae.” I requested. After all, he is the one who gave me that name and I’m thankful.

“Haha, of course Uyunnie…” He said, patting my head. Some things will never change right?

“Let’s go… others are waiting for us for dinner.” He said. We stood up and went to the door but then he stopped, “Are you sure you are still innocent and don’t know those kind of things?” He asked me. Bwoh? I felt my cheeks burning. How could he just ask something like? I’m… I’m still new you know.

“Hyung~” I whined but he just give his infamous high-pitch laugh. We went out of our room and to the dining table where the others are waiting.

“What did the two of you talked about?” That’s the first question Donghae asked me and then eyed Leeteuk hyung, “Did you teach him something ridiculous, hyung?” He puffed his cheeks. Ah. Kyeopta.

“Hush down Hae, I just taught him to kick your butt when it’s necessarily.” Leeteuk hyung said, making me to giggle. He sat beside Kangin hyung and when I saw him staring at me, it was different. I know I finally gain his trust and I’m happy.

“Yah! Hyung! How could you teach something like that to Hyukkie?” Donghae pouted and then turned on me, “You wouldn’t kick my butt right Hyukkie?” He said, his eyes with full of hope. Someone then cleared his throat, getting our attention. It was Siwon and beside him was a girl in teen.

“Oh, Sulli ah~” Kangin hyung called. Her name is Sulli? Kyeopta! But something is familiar with her.

“Oh, we have many guest, Youngwoon oppa. Annyeong haseyo, I’m Sulli. I’m Siwon oppa’s sister.” The girl said and bowed.

“Oh, you must be Hyukjae oppa. Annyeong haseyo, I’m Haejin. I’ll be your friend!”

“Hyukkie? Are you okay?” I saw Donghae’s hand waving in front of me. I must be dreaming again.

“Ah, neh… just thinking.” I said. Why does she make me remember so much of Haejin? I must be tired.

“Then let’s eat!!!”

DONGHAE’S POV

“Hyukkie?” I called in as I open the room that was given for us while we are staying here. Yeap, he was there standing in the balcony. Since he doesn’t eat, he just left and I was worried sick. I thought he went to somewhere again.

“How‘s the food?” He asked. Eh? Does he miss eating food?

“Uhm, just fine?” I said as I approached him, wrapping him again within my arms.

“Ooh, I wonder how the food tastes now.” He said. My poor monkey, can’t even eat.

“Well, it’s not that different from before I guess.” I coax him.

“But your fishy taste better.” Ayie? Did he just say those words? I look at him and his cheeks were red, the light of the moon lighting his scarlet cheeks.

“Our monkey is thinking of doing it now?” I teased, nibbling in his ears.

“Hae~” Eunhyuk called half- moaning.

“Not now Hae…” He said pouting as he faced me, placing his palms in chest. Ayie? Our Monkey is hesitating now?

“Hae, what is engaged?” He asked. huh? Where did he learn it? Did Leeteuk hyung teach him something? Not that I’m against him but sometimes what hyung is teaching to Uyu is becoming out of hand, especially teaching Uyu to be on top. That won’t happen. It’s a big NO!

“I heard Rose is engage with the bad guy. Is it a bad thing?” Oh, Titanic again? He learned so much from Titanic eh.

“Well, engagement or being engage is process where… uhm…” I don’t even know how to explain this, “ Uhm… when a two person promise each other that they’ll be married to each other.” I said. Did I even explain it properly?

“What is marriage then?” He asked, looking at me. Aish. How to explain it. I scratch my head. I don’t really know how to explain this.

“Uhm… that’s when two people give each other their selves and promise they’ll only give it only to their selves.” I said. Ah, kinda hard explaining but enjoy explaining it to Hyukkie, checking if my brain still works.

“Like us?” He jerked his head side. I raised any eyebrow thinking. He then continued, “Like when you take monkey and I take your fishy?” He asked. Gah! Uyu is so cute. But then, hmm. Maybe we should get married but how? Oh?! I snapped my fingers.

“Huh?”

“Then we should get married now?” I asked.

“Really? Let’s go!” He said clapping his fingers. Hyukkie, I so can take you now with your cuteness. Anyways, where did I put that rings? Well, I’ve been keeping those rings for quite sometimes now. I just didn’t give it yet to Eunhyuk. Good thing it was in my pocket when we left my pad. I went back where Eunhyuk is and was waiting eagerly there.

“Here, take this. You wear it to my finger and repeat these words with me, Hyukkie, arasso?” I instructed him. I’m excited. I never imagine we’ll do something like this. When everything is over, I’ll surely marry him officially no matter what. Yeah, Eunhyuk is only mine.

“Repeat after me, I then your name…” I started, he then followed,” I then your name…” Ooops?

“Ani… after I, you’ll say you’re name arasso~” I explained and he nodded attentively. Wah, my Uyu. I’m really getting married. Well, not officially married but then. Aish!

“I… and then your name..” I started and he followed.

“ I, Lee Hyukjae…”

Great! “Take this ring…” I started again, and he once again followed.

”Take this ring…”

“As a sign of my love… to love you Lee Donghae, to stay by your side forever… for better or worse, for richer or poorer, till-“

He repeated after me but then paused, “Wait, I’m already dead right?” Oh right? Uhm..

“Forever more?” I said and he nodded.

“Forevermore.” He smiled with his gummy smile. I then took the other ring and slowly put it in his ring finger.

“I, Lee Donghae, take this, as a sign of my love… to love you Lee Hyukjae, to stay by your side forever… for better or worse, for richer or poorer, till- I mean forever more.” I smiled. I brought my lips and captured his luscious lips.

“I pronounce us, the moon as our witness, to be husband and – uhm lovers…” I said. He just smiled with his gummy smile.

“Ooh.. so that’s how marriage is?” He asked.

“Yeap… my love…” I said kissing his lips once more and hugging him tight.

“What do we do after marriage?” He asked. Kyah? Is he asking me?

“Continuing what we suppose to do.” I said nibbling his lips. I lifted him up and his legs automatically wrap in my waist. Men, my fishy is widely awake now.

Who’s the one saying it? Who are you?

“When the time is right. You have to kill him! That is your purpose now!”

That voice, it’s familiar. Who is he?

“When you wake up, you have to kill him and that’s an order!”

Who are you?! Please stop! I don’t want to kill anyone. Jebal!

“Or if you don’t... someone else surely will.”

EUNHYUK'S POV

I wake up. My breathing is heavy. My face is full of sweat. Who is that guy in my dream? Why is he telling me to kill someone? Is Kangin hyung right that I shouldn’t be trusted? Am I really brought up to life for a selfish cause? Andwae!

I look at my side and thankfully my Fishy wasn’t awoken up by my noise. I need some fresh air. I glance at the clock and it was 1 am already, probably everyone is sleeping.

Careful not to make a sound, I went out of our room. I saw a light from the kitchen, guess not everyone is sleep after all. I don’t really want to meddle with their business until...

“I completely trust Eunhyuk… but we can’t be too sure…” Definitely it was Kangin hyung’s voice.

“Why hyung? Having Eunhyuk will increase our chances in destroying the Pluto Company.” Now, it’s Kibum talking.

“Yeah, we got Donghae now so definitely we have bigger chances..” Siwon? What are they talking now? I moved closer to the kitchen, hearing the conversation. I’ve seen this before in a movie, it isn’t bad to mind their business right?

“Yeah we have higher chances but then.. Eunhyuk… he’s…” Kangin hyung can’t continue. What is he trying to say? What am I?

“He can be the cause of our failure…” Their failure? Am I really a threat? Am I…

“As long as he is with us, Donghae, us… everyone will be in danger…” Andwae? Is it because of me?

“Remember, they are still looking for him and they don’t know yet Donghae’s whereabouts…” Kangin hyung paused and then continued, “And surely Donghae will be in danger once they knew everything.”

Donghae will be in trouble because of me? Donghae… he’ll be in danger because of me? I can’t endanger the one I love. Everyone, those who I’ve met. I can’t just endanger them. But how?

I felt my cheeks drench with tears. I must stop crying. Everything will be alright right? Everything will end right? Donghae, my sweet Donghae. Would you remember me when I leave you? Would you still love me when I leave? We promised ourselves we’ll love each other forever more right? We are married right?

I felt my heart aching. Do I even have a heart? Leeteuk hyung said everyone has a heart, that’s why everyone falls in love. Does that include dead people too?
