Title: A SEAL...
Artist: Me XDD
Medium: Adobe Illustrator
Date: August 4, 2012
Author's notes: The annual ohmiya wedding held by [livejournal.com profile] ohmiyawedding will be ending so what more way to end it is with "You may now kiss your partner..." right? And so here it is. I know I'm such a tease since I didn't let them kiss here but it's up to you how everything will end. This will be my first time doing a vector art as a fanart. I used Adobe Illustrator tracing 2 different screen caps I got that actually fits the idea in my mind. Nino's screen cap was gotten from a February 2012 VS Arashi episode where he was the MDA while Ohno's was from their Tokyo Friend Park episode. I did minor changes like hair colors and eyes position and such and also did the background. Hope I use the right skin tones for the two but most especially I hope you really like it all in all. Dedicated to all Ohmiya shippers and lovers like me. Spread the OhMiya Love~ XDDD

Cute! It's really creative how you used screenshots to get the positioning of the faces right. How did you find vectoring in Illustrator? I've always done vectoring in PS for linearts before and I didn't really like it. Too flat lines. But this one, you actually got variations in line quality <3

Really? I thought me using screenshots will be a bit not good... glad you like it~

Well, I haven't try vectoring in PS so it's easy for me to vector in Illustrator.. and that's what I like more in Illustrator since I can control in line variations and strokes... XDDD

Thanks~

To be honest, I do prefer people using references instead of drawing on top of things, but, and I could be wrong, doesn't vectoring need something underneath to vector from? I know someone who uses them and her pieces are gorgeous.

And I liked how you used the shots and manipulated them to get what you want.

Well yeah, vectoring does drawing on top of the other things. It's somewhat like turning a picture in to an artwork? Something like that? nyahaha~

thanks.. it really means a lot to me... XDDD

by the way, just wondering.. Have you ever tried your drawing to be created into a video? I wanted to do something like that. But then it requires knowledge in Flash ne?

I have used Flash (it's what I used for the sho video) and I have animated with it and another program called flipbook. It depends what sort of thing you're going for. If it's just separate drawings, you could use photoshop. If it's full out animation, timing is easier to deal with in flash and flipbook and this other program named toonboom. You have to pay for them though.

I could probably help you with flash, if you're interested.

Really? Wah!!!Wait is the Sho you mention is the Chipmunk rapping? *grins* definitely I watched it several times. haha~

Since I promise my readers a music video for my story Boku Ga boku No subete, I kinda want an animation or something like that rather than cutting clips from the dramas and such since I don't really have copies of their dramas... i wanted something like the fanvid Ohmiya - Just Be Friends by FreakArashi but I can't find it anymore in youtube. (although I have a copy since I really love that fanvid).. I think it's used flash but since I'm not learning yet 2d animation till october, then I can't really do it yet... Aigoo~ Will you help me?

(P.S. I added you here. :p)

Oh. Hmm... Just be friends, if I remember correctly, didn't really have animation in it. Just a set of drawings zooming in, out, or moved side to side. That's easier. Animation, like classical 2d animation, needs extensive drawing and timing knowledge.

Flash would work. I actually prefer that to the rudimentary movie making program windows has.
