Author’s Notes: Yosh, I’m back. Probably you don’t know Catharsis but since I’m going for a home run to my genre, which is fantasy, I decided to re-construct Catharsis to this story.  This has a lot of combination I tell you. As I said before in Labyrinth, this kind of story keeps bugging me in my mind. I guess I finally found the right track to write it ne? This will be quite confusing at times. To ease up the confusion, alternative universe(either a dream, or a past life or something. Not going to tell :P) will be colored blue while real world will be black. For the side stories, Just to connect the two side stories, Catharsis is for the past while the Labyrinth is in the present.  What else? Ah, this story will still involve a bit of art so expect more drawings or fanarts from me? :D For now, seat back and enjoy. Hope you’ll leave a comment so I can improve my writing. But don’t expect very fast updates. :P

P.S. to[livejournal.com profile] jade_lil nee-chan, still going to ask for your help ne? Imma send it to you very soon. :D Thanks again~

“Have you ever thought of living in two different worlds? It feels like I’m walking in a path between reality and dreams, wandering in a maze where I’m lost.

And suddenly, I see a light. It’s a glow I can’t explain but somehow, it warms me up. Between two worlds, battling inside of me, a light prevails, and somehow I’m not lost anymore.”

There was a young boy, leaning back on the wall of the alley as he tried to catch his breath. A grimace spread across his face as he clenched his arm, bleeding from the injury he got from the villagers that pursued him. He heard footsteps nearby and some murmurs. There was fright lingering in his heart but he chose to ignore it. He tried to be rational and think of a way he could escape this mess he got himself into. A hiss escaped his mouth, his fangs glinting in them moonlight as his injury throbbed with a stinging pain.  Faint light caught his attention from the corner of his eyes. Gripping the injured arm tightly, hoping to lessen the pain, he ran in that direction, leaping from the ground floor to the balcony and hiding inside to the unknown room. He leaned back against the wall once again, his vision spinning. He sighed in relief, hearing the villagers passing by with his sharp hearing skills. But then he didn’t notice another presence in the room until…

“Who’s there?” a soft voice called out. The boy looked up, terrified he was caught but when another boy, who looked older than him, came into his view and seemed to be the one holding the lamp that was lightening a little bit of the room, he eased up. He knew the boy wouldn’t do much unlike the angry adults who were pursuing him. Another sigh escaped his lips.

“I know you’re here, somewhere. Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.” The new comer reassured.

The younger boy beat on his lower lip, hesitant. He knew he should just run away or even attack him but the soft voice from the other managed to relax his racing heart. Before he knew it, he was stepping closer, revealing himself from the cover of darkness. He thought the older boy would be terrified once he saw his fangs but to his surprise, the older boy didn’t budge a single muscle. He looked straight into the older boy’s almond eyes. With one glance, he knew something was wrong.

The older boy reached out and instinctively, the younger leaned forward, nuzzling the palm of the other. He closed his eyes, enjoying its warmness against his cold nature. His eyes shut tightly as his arm exploded with pain, reminding him of his injury. As  he opened his eyes, everything was spinning. Suddenly, everything went dark and the only thing he could hear was.

“Are you okay?”

“Are you okay?” Nino blinked his eyes several times he woke up. It must have been a dream but it felt so real that it sent shivers through his whole body. He remembered waking up after feeling another presence. He looked to his side and found Ohno-san, if he remembered correctly. They were on a plane heading to Hawaii.

“Are you okay, Ninomiya-kun?” he blinked twice before every word sunk in. He found himself smiling at Ohno.

“Nino…”

“Huh?”

“Just call me Nino.”

“Oh.” Ohno just nodded. Nino knew hadn’t answered Ohno’s question but somehow he didn’t need to answer. He felt okay when he heard his voice and he smiled contently as he closed his eyes and the plane took off. Their journey had finally begun.
